We are very excited about these new posters for the PYP and there have been many animated discussions in IB Publishing about which of the posters in the set are our favourites! They are vibrant, engaging and beautifully illustrated. Each poster represents one of the six transdisciplinary themes for PYP students. Alone, each poster acts as a distinctive representation of one of the transdisciplinary themes. However, they can also be displayed alongside each other in a number of variations using the illustrations to link the themes together. The illustrations depict a marvellous system that shows the inner workings of life, shared human experiences, organic processes, technological innovations and the world. The set also contains a seventh poster for teachers giving an overview of all the descriptions for each theme, taken from Making the PYP happen.

Edited by George Walker
Explore current and emerging trends in the principles and practice of international education, find out how they relate to innovative developments within the IB, and discover how international education can respond to 21st century challenges in exciting ways.
George Walker, former director general of the International Baccalaureate (IB), describes how diversity, complexity, inequality and sustainability pose challenges to our globalized world, and he collects perspectives from expert contributors to demonstrate how international education—and the educators who are involved in it—can meet these challenges. With each chapter offering examples of the latest practice in IB classrooms and thought-provoking viewpoints on future directions, this book will enrich your professional understanding and development.
"This book captures brilliantly the vitality of the IB programmes and how the education they provide will help my students and teachers thrive now and in the future"
Anthony Seldon (Dr)

New PYP and MYP products
Sophie Corry, Commissioning Editor for the PYP and MYP publications, IB Publishing
I recently visited a number of IB schools and discussed some exciting new product proposals for PYP and MYP publications. We gained a lot of great feedback and I would like to open up the debate to the wider PYP and MYP community by asking you to complete two questionnaires.
In the PYP questionnaire, we are asking questions about a new PYP magazine, fiction titles and student diaries. For the MYP, we want your feedback on a new approaches to learning(ATL) student book/ teacher companion, a student book on inquiry and some teacher resources to help with writing unit planners.
We would love to have your feedback on these new ideas so please complete one or both of the questionnaires at the links below.
